About Us
Our Vision
As a family of five, we found traveling with the kids a challenge. When they were little, we could squeeze into a normal hotel room. However, as they got older and bigger, we’d have to rent two hotel rooms and split up or find another option. Fortunately, vacation home rentals were becoming more popular and we started using them when we traveled. We discovered we LOVE the home/cabin experience much more than a hotel or crowded resort. Vacations started to feel more relaxing and refreshing!
Our Story
Chris always dreamed of a cabin in the woods or mountains. We invested in Sweet Sensations during 2009 after we fell in love with the Smoky Mountains and Little Valley. The Hideout was a somewhat “spur of the moment” purchase. We were just warming up to the idea of expanding our rental investments, but when you see something that is so perfect, you gotta get it! Q’s Half-Acre in Austin, Texas is our current primary residence, but we’re hoping to get it available for rent when we travel.
Meet the Team
Chris and Cheryl do most of the “behind the scenes” business management of our rental cabins, but the kids do a lot of the manual labor and maintenance.
